Award-winning poet Ailsa Holland published her first collection, The Bodleian and the Bottle Ovens, with Kingston University Press in 2023. Her pamphlet, Twenty Four Miles Up, was published in 2017 with support from Arts Council England. Ailsa’s poems have appeared in anthologies including The Tree Line (2017) and The Very Best of 52 (2015) and in journals such as The Rialto, The Dark Horse, Under the Radar and 3:AM. She has collaborated with visual and sound artists on several exhibitions including ‘Scientific Rambles’ (2025) and ‘How Did It Get So Dark’ (2018-19); she was Artist-in-Residence for Macclesfield’s Barnaby Festival in 2016. Ailsa is co-author of On This Day She: Putting Women Back Into History, One Day At A Time (2021). She is Director of Moormaid Press, a publisher of poetry pamphlets.
